Whole Life Nights

What if one evening per week could deepen your relationship with God, help you ‘find your people’ and give you tools that could transform you?

Whole Life Nights is for normal people who want to deepen their relationship with God. Whether you have been a Christian for a few months or many years, this is designed to strengthen your biblical understanding and guide you through some of the complex issues of our time. It’s a space where you can build friendships with others on the same path. We all want to become better at following Jesus, this is a pathway to that. Opting in to Whole Life Nights is a little like putting your soul in a greenhouse.

What if, in twenty-four weeks, you could shape the next twenty-four years of your life?

What Does Whole Life Nights Look Like?

  • Imagine: turning up to a place where you’ll be made to feel at home; eating with some friends; having your mind stretched and grounded by the truths of the Bible and week by week developing your own rhythm for walking with God. That’s a little of what we hope these evenings will be like.

  • In practice, there will be twenty-four evening sessions on a Thursday night, spread over three terms. It will start in September 2026 and finish in June 2027, with breaks for school holidays.

  • Each evening will consist of dinner, teaching, group discussion and socialising. Some evenings will include a Q&A with a panel. The evenings will be at Ps & Gs from 7pm-9pm.

  • There is a cost of £35 per term that covers the food. However, if this is a challenge for anyone, please contact us.

Why Do This?

This is a big commitment but we believe it will reap long-term benefits:

  • We are living in confusing times. Deciding to do Whole Life Nights is one way of gaining greater clarity on what you believe and why. We’ll look at the story of the Bible from beginning to end. We’ll dig into our foundational beliefs as Christians. The teaching will be accessible, relevant and we’ll be going into more depth than we can on a Sunday.

  • Following Jesus is a life-long journey. If we want to make the most of the opportunities God gives us, it’s worth doing all that we can to prepare ourselves. If you were planning on running a marathon, you would do some deliberate training. This is a way of training ourselves for the race ahead.

  • Following Jesus can be hard. All of us fall sometimes. Whole Life Nights is a way of doing the journey with others. It is for everyday-ordinary people. We want to encourage each other to become all God has designed us to be.

Next steps

  • Between now and early September, please prayerfully consider whether Whole Life Nights might be appropriate for you. Sign-ups are open now.

  • If you're interested but you can't make Thursdays, we're sorry about that. We hope to be able to run Whole Life Nights again in the future and we’ll be looking at alternative formats and timings.

  • If Whole Life Nights isn't for you, please pray for people deciding to make the commitment. It could be life-changing for them.

FAQ

  • Here’s a little guide to how you can grow at Ps&Gs:

    1. If you are exploring faith or have big questions about your faith, we recommend Alpha.

    2. If you are a committed Christian, then we would recommend opting in to Whole Life Nights. This is the best place to come if you are looking to find your people and grow in your faith. The teaching will be accessible if you are new-ish to faith, and still relevant if you have been following Jesus for a long time. After completing a year of Whole Life Nights, we’d suggest that you join a Connect Group.

    3. If you can’t join Whole Life Nights for whatever reason we would recommend joining one of our current Connect Groups. These groups meet at different times and locations; they are a place for following God together. They always include a Bible study of some kind and usually follow our Sunday Series.

  • If you sign up, we will place you in a relevant group of 8-12 people. We’ll consider life stage and location to help you find your people. If you are signing up with friends, you can specify another person you’d like to be in a group with on the form.

The groups will be assigned on the first evening and you’ll stay in that group through the three terms.

  • No! There are a few options here.

    1. Some Connect Groups may decide to sign up to Whole Life Nights and you can register with your group.

    2. Join Whole Life Nights and take a break from your Connect Group.

    3. Continue in your Connect Group. If you are part of a thriving Connect Group then why would you want to leave!? Continue to enjoy this group and grow through it as you follow our Sunday Series. Over the coming year we’ll be exploring how we can make this more accessible for Connect Groups who can’t be free on a Thursday evening.

  • Likely most of us will have to miss one or two of the evenings – life happens! However, if you think you are unlikely to be able to make a significant number of the dates then we’d encourage you to commit to a Connect Group instead. There are a limited number of spaces, and we want them to be available to those who can attend the majority of the evenings. Plus, for the relationships in the groups to grow and deepen there needs to be consistency of attendance.

  • Once you have completed Whole Life Nights, if you are not already in a Connect Group, we can help you find one. It’s likely that many of the groups that are formed during Whole Life Nights, will become Connect Groups. In a Connect Group you will continue to do life together and follow along with our Sunday Series.

  • No! If you breath oxygen and follow Jesus, then you are welcome!

  • We want Whole Life Nights to be accessible for everyone. If you have any hesitation about being able to afford coming then please contact us here.

  • We will let you know but we’ll be asking you to pay £35 before the beginning of each term.

  • As this is the first time we have run Whole Life Nights we can only have one intake, September 2026. We will, however, be looking to go again next year so watch this space. In the meantime, if you can’t manage Whole Life Nights we’d highly recommend joining a Connect Group.

  • As we are just beginning Whole Life Nights we can only run it on a Thursday evening. It is a core part of our purpose as a church, however, and we want to make it accessible for everyone. We’ll be exploring other options in the future for those who are unable to participate in the current format.

  • Absolutely, if you have time in your schedule you are very welcome to attend alongside also being in a Connect Group.
