AGM
We hold an Annual General Meeting every year and it’s our chance to come together and hear about what has gone on in the life of Ps & Gs over the previous twelve months: the achievements, the challenges and what that means for the future. We spend time worshipping, giving thanks and praying too. At the AGM we also elect new people on to the Vestry.
We had our 2025 AGM on Monday 26 January 2026 at 7.30 pm
Announcement from the 2025 AGM
At the AGM on Monday January 26 January 2026, Dave announced that he will be retiring in 12-18 months' time. In order to ensure a smooth leadership transition, the following has been put in place, having been approved by Bishop John before his retirement in 2025:
A search group has been appointed by the Vestry to oversee a recruitment process
The post of Rector Designate will be advertised in February
Applications will be invited and interviews will be held in April
A preferred candidate will be identified and suggested to the Vestry and Bishop of Edinburgh
Once approved, a transitionary handover period will be agreed
The new Rector will begin and Dave will step back.
The timings are yet to be finalised and will be announced once they are agreed. Please pray for all involved and Dave as he prepares to step down from leading Ps & Gs.
