Prayer is part part of our DNA as Christians, and in everything we do at Ps & Gs - our current activties and future directions - we must pray for God's guidance and wisdom. Here are some ideas of how to get started or go deeper with prayer at Ps & Gs.
Come along to our termly Kingdom Come evenings. These are a great chance to come together in worship and prayer to see what God is saying to us. We don't come with an agenda or plan, we come expectant that God is going to speak to us.
Our next Kingdom Come will be after the summer.
We offer prayer ministry as part of each of our services on a Sunday. Our prayer team go through training and would love to pray with you and for you about anything that you feel God might be speaking to you about.
Sometimes having a specific place and time to pray can focus your mind and be really helpful. We run regular prayer rooms throughout the year where you can sign up to use the space for an hour by yourself, with a friend or as a Connect Group.
Sometimes our prayer rooms will have a theme, for example around Christmas or Easter, and sometimes they are simply a quiet space to come and reflect in the busyness of your week.
We have some brilliant people in Ps & Gs who would love to pray for you. If that's something you would be interested in, please email your prayer request to the church office and we will send it out to the team.
If you would like to remain anonymous, please specify that in your email and we would be happy to keep your name off the prayer request.
If you aren't used to prayer then it might seem daunting or confusing. We'd love to talk to you about it at one our services (come and speak to us afterwards) or you might find the Try Praying website really helpful.
